ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Virudhunagar to number the charge sheet and take the case on file in Crime No. 127 of 2023 on the file of Virudhunagar West Police Station, Virudhunagar District.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is aged about 82 years and is the defacto complainant in Crime No.127 of 2023 registered for the offence under Sections 120B, 447, 465, 468 and 471 of IPC.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that pursuant to the investigation in Crime No.127 of 2023, a Final Report has been filed on 17.04.2025 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Virudhunagar.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner is aged about 82 years, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Virudhunagar, shall expedite the process of taking cognizance and shall pass appropriate orders within a period of one month. However, the above direction shall not be understood as a direction to take cognizance.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
