dated 05.10.2024 to the Director of Municipal Administration, Chennai and the petitioners detailed representation made to the Government on 23.04.2025 and to pass appropriate orders regarding sanction of his pension since he has been suffering monetarily and mentally with effect from 31.07.2024 i.e., date of superannuation, within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent, to consider the petitioner's detailed explanation dated 05.10.2024 to the Director of Municipal Administration, Chennai and the petitioner's detailed representation made to the Government on 23.04.2025 and to pass appropriate orders regarding sanction of his pension with effect from 31.07.2024 i.e., date of superannuation.

2. The petitioner had been permitted to retire from service as early as on 30.07.2025, however, his terminal benefits has been withheld for an objection with regard to a sum of Rs.7,06,210/-, which is the value for his joint liability. For such event, the respondents are directed to 2/4

disburse the balance terminal benefits to the petitioner and also paying him pension within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the audit objection is directed to be decided based upon the petitioner's explanation, dated 23.04.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if it is found that the petitioner is entitled for any other amount, the same shall also be disbursed within period of two weeks thereafter.

3. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
