Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pass final orders on the disciplinary proceedings in pursuance of the charge memo issued by the 1st respondent in his proceedings in P.R.No.14/2017, dated 06.02.2017 by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 27.09.2023 within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by an Assistant working at the District Police Office seeking a Mandamus to pass final orders in view of the conclusion of the departmental proceedings.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner was issued with a charge memo on 06.02.2017 and enquiry has been completed and a report has also been submitted to the 1st respondent. Considering the fact that other higher officials are involved, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents seeks some time for culmination of the departmental proceedings.

3. Considering the above said facts, the 1st respondent herein is directed to complete the disciplinary proceedings within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
