2. The petitioner seeks free patta in respect of the petition-mentioned land.

3. It is for the third respondent to take a call in the matter. The Government of Tamil Nadu has been issuing orders from time to time. The third respondent will consider the petitioner's eligibility and entitlement in terms of such Government Orders and take appropriate decision on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The issue is left to the discretion of the third respondent. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
