ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by an aspirant to the post of Medical Officer seeking a Mandamus to re-schedule the interview that was to be conducted on 06.12.2023 on the ground that flights have been cancelled due to cyclone and flood in Chennai.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner has been called to appear for an interview to be conducted on 06.12.2023 in New Delhi. He had received the hall ticket on 25.11.2023 and he has booked his flight tickets on 04.12.2023. However, due to intervening cyclone and flood in Chennai, all the flights from Chennai Airport have been cancelled. Therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation to the authorities to re-schedule the date of interview.

The learned Deputy Solicitor General of India appearing for the respondent brought to the notice of the Court that the request of the petitioner has been acceded to and the interview date has been re-scheduled to 20.12.2023 and a communication has also been addressed to the concerned candidate. 2/4

4. Recording the same, this writ petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
