Heard both sides.

2. The prayer in the writ petition is moulded.

3. Patta in respect of the petitioner's land stands in the name of his grandfather. The petitioner is permitted to submit a formal application to the first respondent for mutation of patta in his favour. An enquiry shall be conducted. All the interested parties shall be put on notice. Thereafter, the first respondent will pass final order regarding the mutation of patta in favour of the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks after submission of the application by the petitioner. If the petitioner succeeds in obtaining patta in his favour, he can approach the very same authority for conducting survey and the survey shall be conducted thereafter.
