Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent forthwith to secure and preserve the CCTV footages recorded on 14.01.2023 between 06.00 a.m. to 07.00 a.m. at Samayapuram Tollgate, Trichy and Boothakudi Tollgate, Trichy Road between 07.00 a.m. to 07.30 a.m. and list of vehicles crossed the tollgates on 14.01.2023 in connection with Crime No.52 of 2023 on the file of the 3rd respondent and consequently direct the respondents to produce the above CCTV footages and list of vehicles before the learned Special Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases No.I, Madurai in C.C.No.523 of 2023 within the time framed fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to secure and preserve the CCTV footages at Samayapuram Tollgate and Boothakudi Tollgate, Trichy.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, submitted that the case is now at the fag end of trial before the learned I Additional District and Sessions Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Madurai in Crime No.523 of 2023.

4. In the light of the above development, the relief as sought for in this writ petition no more subsists and the writ petition is closed. No costs.
