This batch of writ appeals are posted under the caption "for maintainability" on the ground that the order of the learned single Judge, who has appointed Legal Aid counsel to represent the writ petitions, since the counsel on record did not co-operate to conduct the case, has been challenged.

2.This Court, after calling for the records from the Registry, found that subsequent to the order, which is now impugned, the learned single Judge has taken up the matter on more than two occasions and finally dismissed the entire batch of writ petitions for default. In such circumstances, due to the subsequent events, the order of appointing the Legal Aid counsel is merged with the subsequent order, as on date, the writ petitions being dismissed for default nothing survives in the batch of writ appeals.
3.From the records, we find that the appellants herein, due to the dismissal of the writ petitions for default, have no further remedy. Therefore, to afford them an opportunity while dismissing the batch of writ appeals, we provide liberty to the appellants/writ petitioners to file appropriate application for restoration of the writ petitions within 30 days from today and on such applications are filed, the writ petitions be restored and heard on merits. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
