ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Executive Engineer working in the respondent Electricity Board seeking a Mandamus as against the authorities to revoke his order of suspension.

2. The petitioner has been placed under suspension on 12.05.2023 on the ground that he was trapped and arrested by the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department, Madurai on 10.05.2023. A criminal case has also been registered as against the writ petitioner. However, the authorities have not revoked the order of suspension for the past 7 months. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The petitioner has given a representation to the authorities on 16.10.2023 seeking to revoke his order of suspension. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents had contended that only after getting 2/5

NOC from the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department, they would be in a position to consider the request of the writ petitioner.

4. In view of the above said facts, the first respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner, dated 16.10.2023 after getting inputs from the Director of Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department and pass orders within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date on which they received the inputs from DVAC.

5. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
