ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a retired Conductor of the respondent Transport Corporation who attained superannuation on 31.03.2019.

2. According to the writ petitioner, his terminal benefits were released only on 31.08.2019. Hence, he has made a representation on 16.11.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the said request and to pay interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till the date on which the terminal benefits were disbursed. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
