ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Junior Engineer of the respondent Transport Corporation, who attained superannuation on 31.07.2022.

2. According to the writ petitioner, at the time of the retirement, he was having 18.5 days of medical leave to his credit as per the salary slip of July-2022. However, he was paid only a sum of Rs.7,657/- (Rupees Seven Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty Seven only) and the balance amount of Rs.62,901/- (Rupees Sixty Two Thousand Nine Hundred and one only) is yet to be paid. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents on 07.10.2023. Since there is no response from the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 2/4

4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner dated 07.10.2023 and confer the eligible benefits upon the writ petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
