Heard both sides.
2. The petitioner's son passed away in a road accident on 17.03.2022. In this regard, Crime No.49 of 2022 was registered on the file of the third respondent. The Government of Tamil Nadu has introduced a scheme for providing financial assistance in such cases. The petitioner as well as her husband lodged claim before the second respondent. Since the petitioner is a resident of Melur, the second respondent has written to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur for conducting enquiry and submitting the report. The impleaded respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur is directed to conclude enquiry and submit his report to the second respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Based on the same, the second respondent will take a call. If the petitioner is entitled to, financial assistance shall be disbursed without any delay thereafter. If 2/4
according to the second respondent, there are some legal impediments, a speaking order shall be passed and a decision shall be communicated to the petitioner.
