ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to issue a Legal Heirship Certificate in respect of the petitioner's deceased brother Narasimma Moorthy, who died on 01.10.2009, and his wife Premavathi, who died on 28.05.2025, both of whom were residing at No.120/28, Nagupillai Thoppu, New Maakalipatti Road, Madurai, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2025, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. According to the petitioner, he applied for a Legal Heirship Certificate in respect of his deceased brother, Narasimma Moorthy, who died on 01.10.2009, and his wife, Premavathi, who died on 28.05.2025. To that effect, he submitted a representation to the respondents on 18.08.2025. As there has been no progress in the matter, he has approached this Court for appropriate relief.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties, if any.
