O R D E R

A Patta Transfer Order dated 31.08.2025 is challenged on the ground that the earlier pattadars, including the fourth petitioner herein and V.Muniyasamy, whose legal heirs are petitioners 1 to 3, were not heard.

2. In spite of service of notice on respondents 2 to 4 and their names being printed in the cause list, there is no representation for the said respondents.

3. On account of the petitioners not being heard, learned Special Government Pleader submits that the matter may be remanded for reconsideration.

4. On perusal of the impugned order, there is no indication therein that the fourth petitioner or the late Muniyasamy or his legal heirs were heard. Consequently, the order cannot be sustained, being in breach of principles of natural justice.

5. For reasons aforesaid, the impugned order is set aside and the matter is remanded for reconsideration by the first respondent. After providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioners and the current pattadars, a speaking order shall be issued within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed of on these terms. No costs. W.M.P.(MD) No.22365 of 2025 is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
