PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to grant free house site patta to the landless poor of Scheduled Caste People in Survey No.113/10 and 114/5 situated in Kurinchi Nagar, Kodaikanal Taluk, Dindigul District by considering their representation dated 06.03.2025 within the time stipulated by this court.

By relying on the report of the Commissioner in I.A.No.33 of 2011 in O.S.No.423 of 2010 and other documents, the petitioners had applied for a free house site patta. The present writ petition relates thereto. 2.Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for both the respondents. By relying on circular dated 04.03.2025, he submits that S.Nos. 113/10 and 114/5 lie in a hilly area. Without prejudice, he submits that the 2/4

representation dated 06.03.2025 would be considered and disposed of on merits by the second respondent.

3.Accordingly, without making any observations on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 06.03.2025 within four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
