Prayer : Writ Petition Criminal is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2, 3 and 5 to grant permission to conduct the Purattashi Festival of Periyakelavi Amman temple from 08.10.2025 and 09.10.2025 and consequentially directing the 5th respondent to provide adequate police protection for smooth functioning of the festival by considering the representation dated 15.09.2025. ORDER

This Writ Petition Criminal is filed to direct the respondents 2, 3 and 5 to grant permission to conduct the Purattashi Festival of Periyakelavi Amman temple from 08.10.2025 and 09.10.2025 and consequentially directing the 5th respondent to provide adequate police protection for smooth functioning of the festival. 2/5

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the temple festival ended on 09.10.2025.

3. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
