ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the impugned Charge Sheet in C.C.No.393/2025 on the file of the Learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Madurai, which was filed for the offences under Sections 120B, 420, 465, 468 and 471 of IPC.

2.The allegation in the final report is that the petitioners and the defacto complainant are close relatives; and that taking advantage of the relationship, the first petitioner created certain false documents and executed a settlement deed in favour of the second petitioner and thus committed the aforesaid offence.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the defacto complainant/the second respondent would submit that the parties have now entered into a compromise on the advise of the elders and well-wishers and both the parties have agreed that the impugned final report may be quashed.

4.The parties have also filed a joint compromise memo. The scanned copy of the compromise memo dated 24.09.2025 reads as follows:

5.The petitioners, namely, P.Pandiyammal (Aadhaar No.3623 1521 7557), Ranjitham Alagu (Aadhaar No.9585 1042 4844) and the second respondent, namely, M.Gogulan (Aadhaar No.3048 0958 1341) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.S.Selvaraj, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Madurai. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

Considering the nature of the offences, the relationship between the parties and the fact that the parties have arrived at a compromise, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned charge sheet pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned charge sheet in C.C.No. 393 of 2025, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
