ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to correct the date of birth as 03.08.1993, instead of 03.07.1993 in respect of the petitioner's 10th and 12th Mark Statements, Under Graduate Transfer Certificate and Under Graduate Mark Statements by considering her representation dated 02.09.2025.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.J.John Rajadurai, learned counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.T.Amjad Khan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents 2 to 4. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

It is the case of the petitioner that her original date of birth is 03.08.1993, by mistake, the same was wrongly mentioned as 03.07.1993 in her Educational Certificates such as 10th, 12th Mark Statements, Under Graduate Transfer Certificate and Under Graduate Mark Statements. To rectify the said error, she has sent a representation to the respondents on 02.09.2025, however, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the above writ petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, would submit that if the petitioner submits a fresh representation to the Chief Educational Officer, the same would be considered within a stipulated time.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the Chief Educational Officer, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the Chief Educational Officer shall forward the same to the third respondent herein, who shall consider and pass order thereon within one month thereafter.
