Heard both sides.

2. There is no dispute that the petition-mentioned land had been acquired. The case of the department appears to be that substantial portion of the acquired land had already been sold in favour of a third party.

3. Be that as it may, appropriate award enquiry must be held and the respective claims must be determined and compensation also must be disbursed accordingly. The respondents are directed to hold enquiry proceedings and also disburse the compensation amount within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. 18.12.2023 NCS : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No PMU 2/4
