ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for R1 & R2. Issuance of notice to R3 & R4 is dispensed with.

2. The petitioner seeks copy of the building planning permission granted by the fourth respondent in favour of the third respondent along with the copy of the relevant proceedings. The petitioner is afterall invoking his right available under Right to Information Act, 2005. It has been held that right to information is a fundamental right. The proceedings sought for by the petitioner are not having any bearing on the privacy rights of any person. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to furnish the copy of the planning approval / building permission together with the relevant proceedings. This shall be done by the second respondent within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
