Heard both sides.

2. 6.71 acres in Survey No.43/1A and Survey No.43/2 was acquired under Tamil Nadu Act 31 of 1978. As many as 186 plots were earmarked and handed over to the members of the scheduled caste community. The petition mentioned land measuring about 50 cents is still lying vacant. The petitioner wants the same to be earmarked as playground. A representation was given in this regard.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that a girls hostel meant for Adi Dravidar Community is proposed to be constructed in the said survey number. I make it clear that the said land will be used only for the benefit of the SC community and it shall not be diverted for any other private use.
