Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner is a member of the third respondent co-operative society. He had remitted a sum of Rs.12,30,000/- during the period from 2014-2018 in the hope that he will be given possession of a housing plot. Even though an allotment was made in favour of the petitioner and substantial sum of money was also received from the petitioner, the petitioner was neither allotted a plot and nor his amount was returned. The petitioner has submitted a petition before the first respondent. The first respondent is directed to take cognizance of the same without reference to limitation and endeavour to resolve the issue so that the petitioner gets some relief at the earliest. If the attempt to resolve the issue does not fructify, proper enquiry shall be held and award passed under Section 90 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act. This shall be done by the first respondent within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
