This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thoothukudi, to expedite the Page No. 1 of 3

trial in C.C.No.173 of 2025 and to complete the same within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The Hon'ble Supreme Court has repeatedly held that no direction can be issued fixing a time frame for the conclusion of a trial. It is needless to say that several cases filed prior to the instant case are pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thoothukudi. Hence, the direction sought for, seeking fixation of a time limit, cannot be granted.
