ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner is a permanent resident of Mettumahadanapuram in Krishnayapuram Taluk. His actual date of birth is 27.02.1968. However, it was entered as 14.04.1965 in the school records. The petitioner applied to the Headmaster for correcting the date of birth. The Headmaster rightly informed the petitioner that he does not have the authority to make correction. There is no need to interfere with the said communication dated 16.11.2023 issued by the 5th respondent.

3. The petitioner is permitted to appear before the 5th respondent on 05.01.2023 at 03.00 pm. The petitioner shall place all the relevant records enclosing the certified copy of the birth certificate. The 5th respondent shall satisfy himself as regards the petitioner's correct date of birth. He shall send a report in that regard to the first respondent. Based on the report of the fifth 2/4

respondent, the first respondent shall make appropriate correction in the mark statement. Based on the same, the 5th respondent can make corresponding changes in the Transfer Certificate. The entire exercise shall be completed at the end of February 2024.
