The petitioner traces title to the extent of 16 1/2 cents in Survey No.162/1B1 from sale deed dated 02.09.1998 bearing Document No. 2074 of 1998. Learned counsel also relies on order dated 05.07.2024 in W.P.(MD) No.14945 of 2024 and order dated 04.02.2025 of the Tahsildar.

Notwithstanding the wrong descriptions in Patta No.9684, whereby the petitioner's son is shown as the wife of the late Manoharan and the petitioner is shown as the son of the late Manoharan, learned counsel submits that the petitioner has established title to the property and the revenue records stand in the name of the petitioner and her children.
3. Mr.K.Balasubramani, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.S.Prakash, learned 2/5
Government Advocate (Criminal side), accepts notice for the third respondent. Learning Special Government Pleader submits that the petitioner's application would be acted upon within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The petitioner has placed on record both title and revenue records relating to the property. On instructions, learned counsel for the petitioner states that there is no rival title claim as on date. In these circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first and second respondents to initiate action on the petitioner's request for survey and complete the entire exercise within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after issuing notice to owners of adjoining lands and considering objections, if any. If necessary, the revenue officials may avail of the assistance of the jurisdictional police. No costs. 15.10.2025 NCC :No Internet :Yes Index :No PKN 3/5
