PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the 2nd respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.157 of 2019, dated 31.07.2019 and file the final report within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court. police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.157 of 2019, dated 31.07.2019 and file the final report within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the defacto complainant in this case. He lodged a complaint before the respondent police. Based on his complaint a case in Crime No. 157 of 2019 has been been registered for the offences punishable under Sections294(b), 323, 324 and 506(ii) of IPC. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case was registered in the year 2019, so far no progress in this case.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that investigation in this case is completed and final report was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai and the same was taken cognizance in C.C.No.60 of 2023.

4.Since the final report has been filed and the same has been taken cognizance by the trial Court, the petitioner can workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings, if so aggrieved. 2/4

5.With the above said directions and liberty, this criminal original petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
