ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.08.2023 for issuance of joint patta within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.SRA. Ramachandran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have given a representation dated 08.08.2023 to the respondents for issuance of joint patta. Since the said representation is pending, the petitioners have come before this Court. He would further submit that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioners is disposed of by the respondents, on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioners and other appropriate documents will be considered in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners in this Writ Petition, the respondents are directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioners, dated 08.08.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
