O R D E R

The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to remove the petitioner's name in the Crime Record/Police Verification Report maintained by them as an accused in Crime No.70 of 2010 registered by the 3rd respondent taking into account of the closure of said Criminal Case by considering his representation dated 28.11.2023 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the crime is of the year 2010. On that basis the petitioner's name was included in Crime Record/Police Verification Report maintained by the respondent police. Hence, he sent a representation to the respondent police to remove his name from the above said record on 28.11.2023. Since the same was not considered till now, the petitioner has come 2/5

forward with the present writ petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that 110 Cr.P.C. proceedings have been initiated against the petitioner and executed bond for six months. Later the period is over. As on date no petition is pending against the petitioner.

4.In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the second respondent, who is the competent authority to remove the name of the petitioner from the above said Crime Record/Police Verification Report maintained by the respondent police immediately.

5.With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
