Heard both sides.
2.The petitioner studied in the sixth respondent School. His date of birth was wrongly entered as 05.06.1998. The petitioner's correct date of birth is 05.10.1998. The petitioner therefore now seeks correction and reissuance of his school and college mark certificates. In this regard, the petitioner has given representation dated 25.09.2023. 3.The petitioner is directed to appear before the sixth respondent on 18.01.2024 at 04.00 pm. He shall produce all the relevant records. The sixth respondent shall submit a report to the third respondent and also the seventh respondent. Based on the said report, the respondents 3 and 7 shall revise the mark certificates issued by them respectively and reissue by containing the petitioner's correct date of birth. They shall do 3/6
so within a period of eight weeks after the receipt of report from the sixth respondent.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner also place on record that a learned Judge of this Court had held vide order dated 04.10.2023 in W.P(MD)No.9207 of 2020 that such corrections can be very well made and that the entries in the certificate issued by the public authorities must conform to the entries in the birth certificate. 5.This writ petition is allowed accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
