PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to provide the petitioner's subsistence allowance from 01.08.2023 to till the date of reinstatement based on his representation dated 25.09.2023 as well as proceedings of the first respondent dated 03.11.2023 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court. The present writ petition has been filed by an Assistant Professor of an Aided College seeking a mandamus for disbursement of the subsistence allowance from the date of suspension, viz., 31.07.2023.
2. As per the Private College Regulation Act, for the period of four months, the statutory authorities have to disburse the subsistence allowance. 2/5

Therefore, the first respondent herein is directed to disburse the subsistence allowance of the writ petitioner for the period between August 2023 to November 2023 to the writ petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, from the month of December 2023 onwards, the Management has to pay the subsistence allowance subject to the condition that the petitioner co-operates for the enquiry in the Internal Compliance Committee.
4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
