PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS, directing the Respondent to rectify the error in the Field Measurement Book (FMB) pertaining to petitioner's land comprised in Survey No. 101/10C, Nallangulam Village, Chettikulam Post, Aruppukkottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District, on the basis of petitioner's Settlement Deed dated 03.04.2024 and Patta No. 1499 by considering petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2024 and within a time frame that may be stipulated by this court. ORDER

The petitioner asserts that an error was committed in the FMB sketch and that this would be clear on comparing the FMB sketch with patta No.1499, which was issued after surveying and demarcating the petitioner's property. After submitting a representation seeking rectification of the FMB sketch, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the sole respondent. He submits that the petitioner's request for rectification would be considered and disposed of on merits within three months. 3.Accordingly, without making any observations on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's request for rectification of the FMB sketch and dispose of the same on merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
