ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner seeks issuance of passport. He is involved in Crime No.76 of 2017 registered on the file of the second respondent. Though more than 6 1⁄2 years have lapsed, final report is yet to be filed. Considering the nature of the offence alleged against the petitioner, I am of the view that the pendency of the case need not come in the way. 3.The first respondent is directed to process the petitioner's application and issue passport to the petitioner subject to the fulfilment of the other usual formalities.

4.This writ petition is allowed accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
