Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records in pursuant to the impugned order in Na.Ka.No. 156/FORECAST/SDOS/2025 dated 06.10.2025 passed by the 1st respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.10.2025 and to grant permission to conduct public demonstration on 11.10.2025, Saturday at 5.00 PM near Minkopuram in Karivalamvandhanallur, Thenkasi District.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks to quash the impugned order dated 06.10.2025 and consequently, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.10.2025 to conduct public demonstration on 11.10.2025 at 5.00 PM near Minkopuram in Karivalamvandhanallur, Tenkasi District.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the place requested by the petitioner for demonstration is on a State Highways road and that the same is likely to cause nuisance to the public. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would fairly submit that the petitioner's representation would be considered provided he agrees to conduct the public demonstration in the place and time chosen by the respondents and discloses the numbers of persons, who are likely to participate in the demonstration.

3. Considering the said submission, the petitioner is directed to send a fresh representation to the second respondent and on compliance of the conditions imposed by the second respondent, the second respondent may consider the petitioner's request favourably. 2/4

4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
