In both petitions, For Petitioner : Mr.R.Murali For Respondents : Mr.D.Sadiq Raja, Additional Government Pleader for R1 to R4 COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was made by Dr.ANITA SUMANTH, J.) The petitioners have prayed for a mandamus directing the third respondent being the District Collector, Madurai to dispose the appeal pending before him and grant Community Certificate to their children named Bharathi, Nisha and Mohan in W.P.(MD)No.29731 of 2025 and Banupriya, Nithyarubini, Jothika and Pavithra in W.P.(MD)No.29732 of 3/6
2025 respectively.
2. Mr.D.Sadiq Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents has instructions from State that the appeal in W.P. (MD)No.29732 of 2025 has already been disposed even before the institution of the writ petition by an order dated 12.12.2024.
3. It is surprising as to how this writ petition has been instituted and Mr.R.Murali, learned counsel legitimately wonders whether at all that order has been served on the petitioner.
4. Be that as it may, since a copy of the order is now handed over to him for onward transmission of the same to the petitioner, the petitioner is given liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law and the limitation for the same would run from today.
5. As far as W.P.(MD)No.29731 of 2025 is concerned, the respondents seek six months to complete the appeal proceedings and this is granted.
6. Let the appeal be disposed within the time granted, in accordance with law and in line with the principles of natural justice. 4/6
