PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the 1st respondent to direct the 3rd respondent not to harass the petitioner in any manner under the guise of enquiry without following any due process of law.

O R D E R

The petitioner has approached this Court that the respondent police is harassing her under the guise of an enquiry.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner submitted that the petitioner's son, namely, Vignesh Karthikeyan got married with the defacto complainant on 13.03.2022. Due to some misunderstanding between the petitioner's son and the de-facto complainant, the de-facto complainant lodged a complaint to the respondent police. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court to direct the respondent police not to harass her under the guise of an enquiry.

3.This court by an earlier order dated 21.12.2023 has referred the matter to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Court. The Mediation and Conciliation Center has filed a report that the petitioner and the defacto complainant have arrived at an amicable settlement before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre.

4. Recording the submission of learned Counsel for the petitioner that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre and the report filed by the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to the Court, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
