ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to issue death certificate due to the death of the petitioner's husband by accident on 14.10.2014 as per the proceedings of the first respondent in Na.Ka.No. 5038/2017/aa dated 18.08.2017 as well as the representation of the petitioner dated 15.02.2017 within a stipulated time.

2. Mr.A.Kannan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. According to the petitioner, her husband died in a road accident on 14.10.2014. Thereafter, she filed an application for death certificate of her husband. Though an enquiry had been conducted and a report has been submitted by the first respondent in this regard, no further action was taken. Hence, she made a representation on 15.02.2017. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.02.2017 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
