ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the Respondents 1 to 3 to enquire the petitioner's compliant dated 22.11.2023 and take necessary action in accordance with law.

2.The learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner had given a complaint to the third Respondent. He had not initiated any action. Further, the Petitioner had given a representation to the first Respondent/the District Superintendent of Police, Thoothukudi District. Since there was no response, the Petitioner had approached this Court by filing this Writ Petition (W.P.(MD) No.31250 of 2023).

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor by way of reply submits that based on the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.Nos.19197 of 2016 and batch, 2/5

the Director General of Police, Head of Police Force, Tamil Nadu State, Chennai -4 had issued a circular in Rc.No.892914/X1/2020 dated 12.03.2021 to all the Field Officers in the entire State. As per the same, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the said circular will hold good in this case also, based on the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.Nos.19197 of 2016 and batch. 4.In the light of the circular issued by the Director General of Police, Head of Police Force, Tamil Nadu State, Chennai -4 in Rc.No.892914/X1/2020 dated 12.03.2021, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondents to act as per the said circular and pass appropriate orders within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
