Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to issue birth certificate to the petitioner within a stipulated Period as may be fixed by this Court. ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The writ petitioner states that he has failed to obtain his birth certificate. The writ petitioner's parents did not register his birth. The petitioner is presently in need of birth certificate. The petitioner was born in Hindu but later converted to Islam. The petitioner has obtained "Non-Availability Certificate" from the third respondent. The same has already been placed before the fourth respondent. 2/4

3.The fourth respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and dispose of the petitioner's application by issuing the birth certificate within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
