Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the letter of the 2nd respondent dated 14.06.2025 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 5 to accord family pension in favour of the petitioner on account of the death of her husband D. Muthu and thus render justice.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed challenging the letter of the 2nd respondent dated 14.06.2025 and seeking consequential direction to the respondent Nos.1 to 5 to accord family pension in favour of the petitioner on account of the death of her husband D. Muthu. 2/4

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that there is no opportunity given to the petitioner before the proposal has been forwarded by the Government as indicated in the order impugned in the writ petition.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent has placed on record a proceedings of the first respondent dated 26.08.2025, wherein, pension had been sanctioned in favour of the 7th respondent.

4. In view of the same, there is no further adjudication is required to be made in the writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed, with a liberty to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings of the 1st respondent dated 26.08.2025. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
