O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner challenges the order passed by the Tahsildar, Aruppukkottai under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act. It is an appealable order. The 2/5

3 W.P.(MD)NO.30587 OF 2023 petitioner undertakes to file an appeal before the District Collector, Virudhunagar within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The first respondent is directed to dispose of the said appeal within a period of three months thereafter. If the petitioner files an appeal within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, the order impugned in this writ petition will be put on hold and kept in abeyance till the disposal of the appeal. We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
