ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent Transport Corporation, seeking a Mandamus, to direct the respondent to settle the amount for the surrendered leave of 135 days surrendered by the petitioner when he was in service with interest at the rate of 6% per annum.

2. Though the petitioner has retired from service on 30.06.2023, the surrender leave salary has not been disbursed to the writ petitioner, despite giving representation to the respondents on 02.09.2025, for disbursing the said benefits. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to release the eligible surrender leave salary to the writ petitioner 2/4

along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, from the due date till the date of disbursement, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
