ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to shift the 5th respondent-Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Section Office situated in Thalaivankottai Village to Mullikulam Village, based on the representation made by the petitioner, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The decision regarding the establishment or shifting of offices of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board is purely an administrative matter within the domain of the authorities concerned. The petitioner, being a private individual, cannot insist upon continuation of the office at a particular place or object to its administrative relocation.

4. This Court also observes that such administrative decisions are generally taken based on functional requirements, public convenience, and resource management. Unless mala fide or statutory violation is demonstrated, this Court would not interfere with such policy or administrative decisions in exercise of its writ jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
