O R D E R

By relying on sale deed dated 14.11.2013 and joint Patta No. 1503, the petitioner had applied online for survey of the land in Survey No.270/C1A5. The present writ petition relates thereto.

2. At the previous hearing, the order issued by the Tahsildar rejecting the request for survey was submitted by the respondents. At today's hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner has placed on record the order dated 10.09.2025 of the District Revenue Officer rejecting the petitioner's request to cancel the subdivisions in Survey No.270/C1A, which had been subdivided into Survey Nos.270/C1A4 and 270/C1A5. In view of the disposal of the revision petition, learned counsel contends that the reason mentioned in the order of rejection no longer survives. Consequently, he submits that the request for conducting a survey may be considered.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader referred to the order of the District Revenue Officer and pointed out that it records that 5 1/2 cents in 2/5

Survey No. 270/C1A4 is now being used as a road after the same was handed over. He also submits that the District Revenue Officer's order refers to the objections raised by owners of neighbouring lands as communicated by the Tahsildar to the District Revenue Officer by letter dated 27.08.2025. Therefore, he submits that an inquiry would be held by issuing notice to owners of adjacent lands.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Tahsildar to conduct an inquiry in relation to the petitioner's request for survey by issuing notice to all the joint pattadhars under Patta No. 1503 and to owners of relevant adjacent lands. The request for survey shall be considered only in respect of the extent of 1.47 acres excluding the 5 1/2 cents pathway. Objections, if any, from the said persons shall be duly considered and a speaking order shall be issued within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
