PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to regularize the service of the petitioner for the post of Typist as per section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Conferment of Permanent Status of Workmen Act, 1981 by considering the Petitioner's representation, dated 02.12.2023.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Typist working in the 5th respondent Co-operative Society seeking conferment of permanent status on the basis of Tamil Nadu Conferment of Permanent Status of Workmen Act, 1981.

2. The competent authority under the said Act is the Deputy Commissioner of Labour and therefore, the present writ petition is not maintainable. The writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the writ petitioner to approach the competent authority. 2/4

3. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
