ORDER
An order dated 22.09.2025 rejecting the petitioner's request for patta in respect of 1 are each in S.Nos.46/96 and 46/97 is under challenge in this writ petition.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the impugned order was issued on the erroneous basis that the petitioner had applied for a free house site patta. After clarifying that the petitioner did not own any property at the time of making the application, learned counsel submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to pay the amount fixed by the Government in this regard. 2/4
3. Learned Government Advocate submits that the Tahsildar would reconsider the matter in view of the offer of the petitioner to pay the cost determined by the Government. Learned counsel for the petitioner also files documents indicating that the properties have been subdivided and classified as natham. He also points out that the relevant S.Nos.46/96 and 46/97 also fall within lands classified as natham.
4. Considering the above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Tahsildar to reconsider the petitioner's request for grant of patta in respect of S.Nos.46/96 and 46/97 on payment of consideration fixed by the Government in this regard. Such request shall be considered after taking note of proceedings dated 20.12.2000 of the District Collector. The order impugned herein will not stand in the way of the consideration of the petitioner's request. No costs.
