This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to 1st respondent to cancel the patta, in respect of the land with plot No.2 within survey Numbers 10/9, 10/10, 18/11, 12, 13A situated at Managiri I Bit Village, Madurai North Taluk, issued in favour of the 3rd respondent by the 2nd respondent by his proceedings dated 08.06.2015 based on petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2023 made to the 1st respondent.
2. Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents and the learned counsel for the private respondent.

The petitioner submitted a representation to the official respondents seeking to cancel the patta for the aforesaid property and issue patta in favour of the petitioner considering the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 08.06.2015. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the official respondents as well as the learned counsel for the third respondent, would submit that the issues have been settled between the parties and the petitioner has also received the amount towards settlement.

In view of the above submissions, since a representation is made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to say, the said aspect of the petitioner settling the issues with the 3rd respondent and also receiving money shall be taken into account while passing orders on the representation.
