Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of passport.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submits that the petitioner is a history-sheeted person and that there are number of cases registered against him. 2/4

4. On going through the materials on record, I noticed that they are all political in nature. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to issue passport to the petitioner subject to fulfilment of the usual formalities.

5. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
