PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.1372 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, within stipulated time fixed by this Court.

O RDER This petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.1372 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, within stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the L.W.16 in the C.C.No.1372 of 2023. He gave a complaint before the respondent police, which was registered in Crime No.368 of 2013, for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 409, 420, 465, 466, 467, 468 & 469 of IPC. After completing the investigation final report was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, (Land Grabbing Cases), Madurai and taken cognizance in C.C.No.1 of 2015. Later it was transferred to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai and renumbered as C.C.No.1372 of 2023. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case was registered in the year 2013, so far no progress is made in the trial process.

3.Considering the oldness of the matter, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, to expedite the trial process and dispose of the same within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
