PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to survey and demarcate the petitioner's property comprised in Survey No. 44/3, situated at Palkulam Village, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2025, within the stipulated time.

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to survey and demarcate the petitioner's property comprised in Survey No.44/3, situated at Palkulam Village, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2025, within the stipulated time.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. Having regard to the nature of the order proposed to be passed in this writ 2/5
petition, notice to the respondents 4 to 9 is dispensed with.
3. The petitioner states that despite submitting an application seeking survey and demarcation of the property referred to above, the respondents have not taken any action. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 26.09.2025 reiterating the request for survey and demarcation. As no action has been taken by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 and 2 submits that the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2025 will be considered and disposed of in accordance with law.

In view of the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 and 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Such representation shall be considered and disposed of after issuing notice to the petitioner, respondents 4 to 9 and the adjacent landowners, if any. In the event of any issues pertaining to land disputes, the parties shall approach the competent civil court. No costs.
