Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to take the appeal dated 30.11.2023 filed by the petitioner under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act on the file and adjudicate the same in accordance with law and pass appropriate order to issue patta in respect of Survey No.70/1 situated at Vetriyur Village, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District in favour of Sheik Abdullah.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents.

2. All that the petitioner wants is disposal of the petition mentioned appeal. No exception can be taken to the said request. The third 2/4

respondent is directed to dispose of the petition mentioned appeal on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The interested parties including the private respondents herein will have to be necessarily heard before the final order is passed. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is for the third respondent to pass order one way or the other.

3. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
